Mona Osman

Mona Osman found her artistic side in her early childhood in painting and drawing.
Osman's work investigate perceptions on being and depicts the anxiety of an individual.
Through series of artworks she is aiming to build up narratives and inner logics which through she can express both a universal helplessness of existence and the dynamics of the relationship among human beings. Hence why, Osman often uses reoccurring elements such as a room like space or lately, the Red Cube in her paintings. Osman likes to juxtapose the figures with each other as well as with the  environment and space they are placed in.
She claims that her artwork is inspired by personal experiences in life but believes that these are existential issues that every human being struggles with.

Mona Osman was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1992. She spent her childhood in Budapest, later in Nice, in France and finished high school in London.
She graduated in 2014, in BA Fine Arts at Goldsmiths University of London and currently compleating her master degree in Painting at the Royal College of Art.
